Our types of leather at a glance

The choice of leather significantly determines the quality, durability, and comfort of a shoe. High-quality leathers are breathable, flexible, and develop a unique patina over time. In addition, first-class leather ensures an optimal fit, resistance to external influences, and an elegant look. Therefore, only the best leathers are used for our models.

Antikcalf (AC)

The fine patina of the aniline-dyed calfskin leather intensifies with wear, making each shoe unique. This antique effect is achieved by polishing with a special polishing wax using a high-speed cotton polishing disc. This also leads to color variations, which emphasize the individual character of the shoe.

Boxcalf (BC)

The fine surface of the aniline-dyed calfskin is made even more brilliant by the technique of gloss-stamping during the tanning process and is ideal for the elegant shoe.

Fat Nubuck (Mountain - M)

The high fat content of the hydrophobized nubuck leather makes it particularly resistant to dirt and moisture.

Scotch Grain (SG)

The unique texture of the calfskin is achieved through careful embossing and a special polishing process, which gives the leather an exceptional appearance.

Brushed

Brushed calfskin (CA)

The shiny surface of the fine calfskin is the result of a complex brushing process.

Waxed Fat Nubuck (Hillbilly - H)

The hydrophobized oiled nubuck leather impresses with its characteristic patina and is extremely robust and water-repellent thanks to the wax layer.

Calf velour (V)

The high-quality, brushed velour leather is comfortable to wear and easy to care for. Brushing and even gentle washing are beneficial for it.

Mambo (MA)

The waxed pull-up calfskin develops a typical oiled leather patina over time and is also characterized by its robustness.

Nubuck (BD)

The lightly grained smooth leather from the milk calf convinces with its matte texture and its unmistakable suppleness.

Shell Cordovan (C)

Its high fat content makes this horsehide from the Horween tannery in Chicago not only water-repellent and flexible, but also virtually insensitive to scratches.

Soft Calf (SC)

The silky matte sheen, the fine texture and its soft feel make the aniline-dyed Soft Calf one of the most sought-after calfskin varieties worldwide.

Tuscany Calf (TC)

The fine calfskin is supple yet durable. The deep color variations are individually applied in an elaborate finishing process.

Tumbled Leather

Drums (T)

The "drummed" leather is characterized by its soft feel and textured surface. It is pleasantly soft and supple, yet durable and tear-resistant.

Water buffalo (W)

The durable aniline water buffalo leather is exceptionally supple and has a robust surface structure with a strong grain.

Sole leather – A strong foundation for first-class shoes

Our shoes are equipped with soles that not only provide stability and comfort, but also continue the tradition of the finest shoemaking craftsmanship.
